REPERTOIRE

The STOTT PILATES repertoire consists of more than 500 systematic Matwork* and equipment-based mind-body exercises. It involves balancing preparatory, essential, intermediate and advanced level exercises to deliver uniquely effective workout formats and benefits include:

QUALIFIED INSTRUCTORS

Courses are taught by Instructor Trainers, the highest level of STOTT PILATES certification. Equilibrium was the first Licensed Training Center in the United States and students come from all over the Midwest to attend weekend training courses that lead to certification. We have six ITs on staff, including three who are also physical therapists. Our IT staff are dynamic, professional, and are the most qualified individuals to train you in this method. We can also offer on-site training in your facility.

PROGRAM OPTIONS

Whatever your goals, we have a program to meet your needs. Each comprises a series of relevant courses or modules delivered at a pace, duration and location most suitable to you or your organization.

Intensive Program - Level 1
If you are already a fitness or health professional with previous training in anatomy, this program prepares you to teach STOTT PILATES Level 1 Matwork and equipment-based repertoire safely, effectively and with confidence.

Comprehensive Program - Level 1
Created for those with some movement training and exposure to Pilates, Comprehensive courses include a functional anatomy component and teach the practical skills needed to develop effective and motivating Level 1 Matwork and equipment-based programs.

Group SPX* Program - Level 1
Learn to effectively implement a quality group Pilates program. Gain the skills to motivate, progress and inspire your group classes.

Crossover Program
These short courses allow you to move between the Group and Private streams of training.

Advanced Program - Level 2
The Advanced program consists of Level 2 courses in Matwork, Reformer, and Cadillac, Chair & Barrels, required for full certification.

Rehabilitation Program
For licensed physical therapists, occupational therapists, sports medicine professionals and chiropractors wishing to integrate modified STOTT PILATES exercises for injury prevention and rehabilitation into their practices.

WHICH PROGRAM IS RIGHT FOR YOU?

Q.

I have little or no experience teaching movement or exercise, but I would really like to start a career in fitness. Where should I start?

A.

Our Comprehensive program starts you off with Functional Anatomy and the basics allowing you to progress with incrementally more challenging material at a manageable pace. You also have the opportunity to "practice teach" by participating in our structured Apprenticeship program.


Q.

I am already a fitness professional and I would like to begin providing personal Pilates training for my clients. What classes should I take?

A.

The Level 1 Intensive program would be your best option. These courses prepare you to teach both Matwork and equipment-based Pilates repertoire.


Q.

I am a trained health practitioner/rehab professional. I'd like to discover how I can encorporate Pilates to help my clients deal with injuries and enhance their overall conditioning.

A.

The STOTT PILATES Rehabilitation program is specifically designed for licensed physical or occupational therapists, chiropractors and doctors of sports medicine. Four courses demonstrate how to integrate modified Matwork and equipment- based STOTT PILATES exercises appropriately into therapeutic conditioning.

Q.

I have completed Intensive Mat-Plus Level 1 is it possible for me to help clients with injuries at this stage in my career?

A.

Yes, we offer the Injuries & Special Populations course specifically for STOTT PILATES instructors to learn to modify their repertoire to assist clients with specific physical issues. Take this course after you have taken any Level 1 Matwork or Reformer course.


Q.

I have completed the Level 1 Mat-Plus & Reformer courses and I'm ready to add more advanced options to my repertoire. What's the fastest way I can make that happen?

A.

You are ready to enroll in our Advanced certification courses. These build and expand upon the skills you already have. You might also want to try a Continuing Education Workshops to build upon your repertoire quickly. These typically take place over a weekend and provide you with new skills to use immediately.
