Offering strength, self-esteem and quality of life to breast cancer survivors

The Pink Ribbon Program will help stretch and strengthen the shoulder, chest, back, and abdominal muscles, allowing women to regain full range of motion to those areas affected by breast cancer surgery. This program is suitable whether your surgery was recent or several years ago and accommodates all fitness levels.

Exercise may be the last thing you feel like doing after breast cancer surgery, but it may be the best thing. We know you are exhausted, your arm may be painful and swollen, and the adjuvant treatments can make you feel even worse. All you want to do is rest. In the past, that's exactly what doctors recommended. However, recent studies indicate a link between moderate physical exercise and improved quality of life for breast cancer survivors.

Equilibrium Studio is dedicated to promoting a healthy lifestyle and positive body image to breast cancer survivors.

Benefits of the Pink Ribbon Program

The Pink Ribbon Program at Equilibrium

Every new client at Equilibrium begins with a private one-on-one appointment as we believe in the importance of creating fitness programs specific to each client's needs and ability.

For clients beginning The Pink Ribbon Program we offer the reduced rate of $40 for this first one-on-one session.

At the end of your first session, you will be offered the choice of continuing private sessions, or attending small Pink Ribbon group classes.

Private sessions range from $55 to $75 an hour, depending on the instructor. Get your first package of appointments at a 20% discount. Group Pink Ribbon classes will be offered for $18 a class and are offered twice a week. See our class schedule for currently scheduled group classes.

Equilibrium currently has four Certified Cancer Exercise Specialists. Jill Roberts, Kimberly Kuncl, and Gayle Eubanks have each studied and attained certified status with program founder Doreen Jones.

Please note that you will need your doctor's permission to exercise in order to begin this program and if you are experiencing lymphedema you will be asked to wear an arm wrap.
