Intensive Program Definition
The STOTT PILATES® Intensive Program (Level 1) is intended for those already working in the fields of fitness or movement, or who have completed the Functional Anatomy course and meet the Pilates class requirements. The focus is on expanding your current knowledge while delivering complete instruction in the STOTT PILATES® Five Basic Principles and Essential and Intermediate exercises in a fast-paced format.
This option is ideal for those who are unable to devote the amount of time required in the Comprehensive program due to work and/or scheduling issues.
Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to teach the STOTT PILATES® method of exercise. Upon passing the exam, they will be recognized as a STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor. Only upon receipt of their certificate will they be entitled to identify themselves as a STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor.

Intensive Mat-Plus™ (IMP)
Learn to design and lead the Level 1 Essential and Intermediate STOTT PILATES® Matwork repertoire for personal or group training — with Flex-Band®, Fitness Circle®, and Arc Barrel variations.
- 40 hours instruction & supervised teaching
- Minimum 10 hours observation · 30 hours physical review · 15 hours practice teaching
- Total: 95 hours · 63 exercises plus modifications
Intensive Reformer (IR)
The most popular apparatus pathway — expand your knowledge to teach Essential and Intermediate Reformer repertoire safely and effectively for a wide range of clients.
- 50 hours instruction & supervised teaching
- Observation, physical review, and practice teaching hours required
- Total: 125 hours · extensive Reformer repertoire
Intensive Cadillac, Chair & Barrels (ICCB)
For instructors who have completed Intensive Mat-Plus™, Intensive Reformer, or CMR and want to expand into full-studio apparatus. Structured as modules — Intensive Cadillac (ICAD), Intensive Stability Chair™ (ICHR), and Intensive Barrels (IBRL) — for scheduling flexibility. Completion of all three modules is required for ICCB certification eligibility.
- Design and lead Level 1 Essential and Intermediate repertoire on Cadillac, Stability Chair™, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector, and Arc Barrel
- Use apparatus for complete workouts or as a complement to Matwork and Reformer routines
- Prerequisite: completion of CMR, IMP, or IR
