Wolverine Support Network 2015

Every year in January Nancy Hodari gives a holiday donation in honor of her Equilibrium family of clients and staff.

This year a brand new organization was selected to receive a holiday donation of $5,000.

Equilibrium clients Diane Orley and Linda Aiken have formed The George Orley Mental Wellness Initiative to “help the overwhelming need in our community to increase education and awareness to help prevent suicide, shatter the stigma and financially sustain the Wolverine Support Network at University of Michigan, a peer to peer support network created by the class president, Bobby Dishell.”

The importance of addressing mental health disorders during college is critical as there is increasing recognition that depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and substance abuse occur most often in adolescence and young adulthood. To learn more or to donate

Camp Casey – Helping Children One Neigh at a Time

Equilibrium is proud to sponsor Camp Casey, a one-day, mobile horseback riding retreat for children with cancer and their families.

Founded by Equilibrium Alumni Instructor Molly Reeser, Camp Casey seeks to empower youth through adventures with horses, other children and their families. Able to accommodate 20 children (and their entire families) at each retreat, Camp Casey hopes to provide courage and strength for children to take back and apply to their fight against cancer.

A Day on the Farm at Camp Casey:

For no expense, children of all ages and their families are able to participate in:

  • Horseback Riding
  • Horsemanship
  • Grooming
