Originally from Hanover, PA, Kristen has lived in Michigan for the last 10 years.
Prior to graduating with a B.S. in Arts Management from Oklahoma City University, Kristen was a member of the Harrisburg Ballet and also attended Butler University where she performed with the Butler Ballet. Kristen has enjoyed a long professional dance career working for Opryland, Celebrity Cruise Lines, Stiletto Entertainment, and Holland America Line. Furthermore, she was also an aerialist in Mystic Rhythms at Tokyo Disney Sea and has performed in Las Vegas at the Rio All Suites Hotel in The Show in the Sky.
Upon retiring from her dance career, Kristen became a Senior Pilates instructor with Level II STOTT certification in Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, and Barrel at Equilibrium. She is a STOTT Athletic Specialist. Kristen was an adjunct professor teaching jazz, tap and Pilates at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. For the last ten years, she has been teaching, choreographing, and judging for several studios and competitions across the country.
Kristen returned to school, gaining her Bachelor of Health Science degree and Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from Wayne State University. Currently, she is working at Henry Ford Grosse Pointe, Cottage Hospital in the outpatient rehabilitation facility. She is certified in TRX, cupping, Kinesiology taping, IASTM, LSVT BIG, and working towards her Gyrotonic certification. She is excited to be back at Equilibrium, rejoining a wonderful community of teachers and clients!
